The impact of perceived social support on psychological capital of firefighters
Background This study explored how perceived social support affects firefighters' psychological capital through the chain mediating role of exercise self-efficacy and psychological resilience. Methods Firefighters from a Jiangsu Province fire rescue team ( N = 524, 95.3% response rate) completed the Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), Self-Efficacy for Exercise Scale (SEE), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and Psychological Capital …
Exploring the Effect of Industrial Internet Platform Utilization on Technology Management Capability in SMEs
This study investigates how industrial internet platforms (IIPs), as external knowledge resources, enhance the technology management capabilities of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) during digital transformation stage. While existing studies have largely overlooked the role of such platforms in improving firms’ technology management capabilities, we have addressed this gap by analyzing 4,290 annual report observations from …
Perceived social support, insomnia, and psychological resilience
Perceived social support has a significant inhibitory effect on internet addiction among civil aviation flight cadets, with insomnia and psychological resilience playing a partial chain mediating role. Enhancing flight cadets' social support, improving their sleep status, and strengthening psychological resilience may alleviate the risk of internet addiction
The value of leaders we trust and leaders who make us stronger
This study investigates the critical role of social identity in leadership, specifically examining identity leadership (IL) and the unique contributions of its four subdimensions: identity prototypicality, identity advancement, identity entrepreneurship, and identity impresarioship. To date, research has largely focused on the global construct of identity leadership and shown that in organizational contexts, it is a predictor of a range of outcom…
Innovation across cultures
Innovation is considered essential for today's organizations to survive and thrive. Researchers have also stressed the importance of leadership as a driver of followers' innovative work behavior (FIB). Yet, despite a large amount of research, three areas remain understudied: (a) The relative importance of different forms of leadership for FIB; (b) the mechanisms through which leadership impacts FIB; and (c) the degree to which relationships betwe…
Identity Leadership, Employee Burnout and the Mediating Role of Team Identification
Do leaders who build a sense of shared social identity in their teams thereby protect them from the adverse effects of workplace stress? This is a question that the present paper explores by testing the hypothesis that identity leadership contributes to stronger team identification among employees and, through this, is associated with reduced burnout. We tested this model with unique datasets from the Global Identity Leadership Development (GILD)…

The Consciousness of Social Face Scale, the Social Value Scale, and the Status Consumption Scale were administered to 192 MBA students from a univer…
Modeling and Preventive Measures of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) in China
This paper concentrates on the HFMD data of China from March 2009 to December 2012. We set up a mathematical model to fit those data with the goodness of fit and obtain the optimal parameter values of the model. By the Chi-square test of statistical inference, the optimal parameter values of the model are reasonable. We obtained the basic reproductive number of the disease for each year, and it is larger than 1. Thus, we conclude that HFMD will p…
