Evaluating the Vulnerability and Impact Zones of Urban River-Crossing Corridors
Urban river-crossing corridors, such as bridges and tunnels, are critical yet vulnerable links in metropolitan transportation networks, where disruptions can cause severe system-wide impacts due to limited redundancy and concentrated traffic flows. This study proposes a novel dual-indicator framework integrating vehicle detour efficiency and public transportation substitution capacity to comprehensively evaluate the vulnerability and substitutabi…
Investigating the factors affecting ICT integration of in-service teachers in Henan Province, China
The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can significantly improve teaching and learning outcomes, but various factors determine the degree to which ICT is integrated into educational practices. This study used quantitative methodology to examine four key factors that impact in-service teachers’ ICT integration and how they interact with each other. Data was collected through snowball sampling from 685 in-service teachers…
Safety and immunogenicity of inactivated Covid-19 vaccine in patients with metabolic syndrome
Background and aims The prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS), wich mainly including hypertension, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, remains high, and the safety and antibody response of inactivated coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) is still inconsistency, therefore it is necessary to explore the safety and antibody responses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccination in MS patients in clinical practic…
Childhood Trauma and Non-suicidal Self-Injury Among Chinese Adolescents
The factors associated with non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) of adolescents have been widely researched. However, the underlying mechanism of the relationship between childhood trauma and NSSI is limited. This study aimed to explore the risk factors for NSSI among Chinese adolescents. Our hypothesis was that psychological sub-health (PSH) played a mediating role between childhood trauma and NSSI. The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, the Multidimens…
Genetic characteristics and forensic features of Xibe ethnic group revealed via extended set of Y-STRs
According to pairwise R ST genetic distances among Xibe populations from China, the Liaoning Xibe population showed the closest genetic distance (0.0035) followed by Xinjiang Xibe population (0.0218). Multidimensional scaling (MDS) analysis among Xibe and 29 other Chinese populations showed that local populations such as Manchu from Liaoning and Han from Beijing had a close affinity while Tibetans from Aba, China, were most distant from Xibe popu…
Associating Covid-19 Severity with Urban Factors
Wuhan encountered a serious attack in the first round of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, which has resulted in a public health social impact, including public mental health. Based on the Weibo help data, we inferred the spatial distribution pattern of the epidemic situation and its impacts. Seven urban factors, i.e., urban growth, general hospital, commercial facilities, subway station, land-use mixture, aging ratio, and road de…
