An Historical Outline of Mapping in British Columbia
The author traces the mapping of British Columbia from the time of Spanish voyages of exploration in the late 18th Century through to the detailed topographic mapping of the 1970s. Hydrographic surveys of the coasts were followed in the first half of the 19th Century by exploratory surveys inland along river routes.
