  • Examining the asymmetric link between tourism and carbon emissions

Chien-Ming Wang, Tsangyao Chang et al.•ARTICLE•Current Issues in Tourism•2025

This study examines the asymmetric relationship between tourism and carbon emissions using cross-quantilogram approach in Taiwan. The results reveal that tourism has a positive impact on reducing carbon emissions at both low and high quantiles, with inbound tourism showing a promoting effect on high quantiles of carbon emissions. The short-term impact of tourism on carbon emissions is found to be more significant. Importantly, the influence of to…

  • An alkaloid-rich phytopharmaceutical prepared from Qing Dai against IL-17A-induced psoriasis

  • Measuring the Impact of Health on Economic Growth Using Pooling Data in Regions of Asia

Open Access•Cheng-Feng Wu, Tsangyao Chang et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2021

Health improvement has become a significant social priority since a moderately good human capital condition improves the workforce's abilities, efficiency, and quality of life. A rapid increase in healthcare expenditure is a trend in major developing and developed countries; however, healthcare expenditure widely varies among most Asian countries. Asian countries contribute a significant amount of output to economic development worldwide. The sta…

  • A Dynamic Relationship between Environmental Degradation, Healthcare Expenditure and Economic Growth in Wavelet Analysis

Open Access•Cheng-Feng Wu, Fangjhy Li et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2020

This paper analyzes the co-movement and causal linkages between environmental pollution and healthcare expenditure, taking economic growth as a control variable by using wavelet analysis for Taiwan over the period 1995 Q1-2016 Q4. The results show that there exists co-movement and causality between environmental pollution and healthcare expenditure at different frequencies and times. The changes in the relationships of the two variables are obser…

  • IL-17A inhibitions of indole alkaloids from traditional Chinese medicine Qing Dai

    Open Access•Chia-Lin Lee, Chien-Ming Wang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2020

  • Investigation of the Co-Movement Relationship between Medical Expenditure and GDP in Taiwan-Based on Wavelet Analysis

    Open Access•Hsin-Pei Hsueh, C M Wang et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2019

In this study, using the medical expenditures of the Taiwanese government and gross domestic product (GDP) as variables, the wavelet analysis method was used to empirically study the correlations and lead-lag relationships in quarterly data in the period from 1996 to 2016. In addition, the dependent population of the insured was used as the control variable. Results: After the dependent population was included as a control variable, there was a p…
