  • Insights in pharmacological activities and the gastrointestinal stability of paraconic acids from Cetraria islandica (L.) Ach

Open Access•Eduardo Villicaña González, Eva Sanchez Armengol et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2026

  • Medicinal plants of northern Angola and their anti-inflammatory properties

Open Access•Luca Pompermaier, Stefania Marzocco et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2018

  • Screening of Vietnamese medicinal plants for NF-κB signaling inhibitors

Open Access•Thi Van Anh Tran, Tran Thi Van Anh et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2015

The screening presented in this study identified the dichloromethane extracts of Chromolaena odorata and Oroxylum indicum as promising sources for NF-κB inhibitors. Hispidulin, baicalein, chrysin and oroxylin A, isolated from Oroxylum indicum, were identified as inhibitors of NF- κB activation

  • Identification and pharmacological characterization of the anti-inflammatory principal of the leaves of dwarf elder (Sambucus ebulus L.)

Open Access•Stefan Schwaiger, Iris Zeller et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2011

Our findings suggest an additional mechanism of the anti-inflammatory activity of ursolic acid by demonstrating its ability to inhibit TNFα-stimulated expression of VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 and support the traditional use of extracts and preparations of Sambucus ebulus L., rich in ursolic acid, for the treatment of chronically inflammatory processes

  • In vivo efficacy of different extracts of Edelweiss (Leontopodium alpinum Cass.) in animal models

Open Access•Ester Speroni, Stefan Schwaiger et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2006
