A Dnieper-Prut Babino Culture Grave with Faience Beads Found in the Lower Dniester
This work introduces and analyzes a burial of the Dnieper-Prut Babino culture from the barrow of the Kremennaya Balka cemetery, excavated on the left bank of the Lower Dniester in 2023. It is a double burial with two moderately flexed skeletons, lying face to face with their heads facing north. The contents of seven vessels from burials of the Yamnaya cultural and historical community (2 vessels), the Dnieper-Prut Babino culture (4 vessels), and the Sabatinovka horizon (1 vessel) were studied. Two samples (from the bottom and upper parts) were analyzed for each vessel using the spore-pollen method. This paper publishes for the first time the Sarmatian burial, investigated in 2023 on the right bank of the Kuchurgan estuary. The grave was sunk in the mound of an early Bronze Age barrow. The article publishes for the first time the Late Bronze Age graves from barrow 1 of the Kotlovina cemetery, Reni district of the Odessa region.
