  • The Two Faces of Gross National Happiness

    Henri See•ARTICLE•Journal of Contemporary Asia•2022•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 19

This article considers two interlinked questions regarding the wider significance of the gross national happiness (GNH) development framework established in Bhutan. First, to what extent can GNH be considered a genuinely alternative development paradigm, distinct from the traditional pursuit of economic growth? And second, what are its prospects for survival in a globalising world? It argues that, while the government of Bhutan has succeeded in c…

  • La France économique et sociale au XVIIIe siècle

Henri See•BOOK•La France économique et sociale…•2014

  • Bisexuality and Identity

Henri See, Ruth Hunt•ARTICLE•Journal of Bisexuality•2011•Citada por: 15

This article presents the findings of several recent Stonewall reports that have cumulatively built up a wide-ranging picture of bisexual experience in Britain today. Nearly all of these findings highlight the relative invisibility of bisexuality in contemporary society. This invisibility is fuelled by high levels of biphobia, yet it may also reflect the ambivalence some bisexual people feel toward bisexuality as an identity. Ultimately, these fi…

    Henri See•ARTICLE•The Business History Review•1928•Citada por: 1

When to-day the visitor to one of the fairest countrysides in the world sees Saint Malo rise proudly from its rocky islet, surrounded by ancient walls, like a vessel about to put out to sea, he finds it difficult to imagine that this port once played a great part in the commercial and maritime history of France. Nowadays a great port must be situated at the mouth of a great river or it must serve as outlet for a rich agricultural and industrial r…
