Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) account for most of global deaths, with rising prevalence in low-and middle-income countries. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a cluster of interrelated NCD risk factors, including obesity, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, and hyperglycaemia, that amplify NCD risk.
