    Mateusz Stróżyk, Aldona Garbacz-Klempka et al.•ARTICLE•Praehistorische Zeitschrift•2023•Citada por: 2

This paper will discuss the results of material science analyses of artefacts from grave no. 89 in Karzec, Central Poland, that were discovered in 1959. The obtained results will be interpreted in the context of the possibility of a ‘new’ specialisation within the metallurgical workshop of the Lusatian people of the Late Bronze Age – a mouldmaker/moulder. At the Late Bronze Age necropolis in Wartosław, tools used in metalworking were unearthed from a mass grave belonging to the Lusatian people that can be dated to 1100–900 BCE. Twelve out of over 70 ceramic vessels from the burial pit were identified as urns that contained the ashes of at least eight deceased individuals, including two adult men, one young woman, one unspecified ad…

Village of Lubiń is a site of Benedictine monastery since 11th century. St. Leonard church was built at the turn of 12th and 13th century as a parochial church serving local population (conventual church belonging to the monastic complex was constructed in 11th century but apparently served other purposes). Territory around St. Leonard church was used as a cemetery since 13th century until 1813. Usage was very intensive, so that graves were dug a…
