Beyond the Diagnosis
Background/Objectives : Patau syndrome (trisomy 13) is a rare genetic disorder with high mortality, and poor prognosis. Patients surviving beyond infancy usually present with severe psychomotor delays, failure to thrive, intellectual disabilities and seizures.
