  • Associations between working memory and mathematical ability in elementary school children

    摘要: 尽管大量研究表明工作记忆与数学能力存在紧密联系, 但有关两种能力子结构之间的特异性关联及随学段变化的趋势尚不明确。本研究以875名一(低)、三(中)、五(高)年级(学段)儿童为研究对象, 采用网络分析方法系统考察了各工作记忆子成分与不同领域数学能力之间的关系, 以及这些联系是否会在不同学段间显现差异。结果表明, 低学段中言语工作记忆容量和言语工作记忆刷新与数学运算能力之间具有最强的正向关联; 视空工作记忆容量与中、高学段儿童的数学运算能力具有最大的正向联系; 言语工作记忆容量与中学段逻辑思维能力和高学段空间想象能力呈现最紧密的关联。此外, 网络比较进一步发现学龄中段言语工作记忆刷新与数学运算能力之间的连接强度显著低于学龄低段和学龄高段, 且学龄低段言语工作记忆刷新与空间想象能力之间的连接强度显著低于学龄高段。本文为理解工作记忆与数学能力之间的关系及其发展模式提供了新的视角, 对制定学龄儿童数学能力干预增强措施具有重要教育启示意义。
