Trends in internal migration in the Dutch province of Friesland during the second half of the eighteenth century are analyzed. Data are from the Quotisatiekohieren a census undertaken in 1748-1749 to improve the efficiency of tax collection which include data on heads of households and family size. Trends in internal migration in the Dutch province of Friesland during the second half of the eighteenth century are analyzed. Data are from the Quotisatiekohieren a census undertaken in 1748-1749 to improve the efficiency of tax collection which include data on heads of households and family size.
