  • Effects of Orotic Acid on Alcohol Consumption and In-Vitro Alcohol Metabolism in Rats

Rosa Alvarado-Andrade, Eliana Muñoz et al.•ARTICLE•Quarterly Journal of Studies on…•1972

Orotic acid increased alcohol intake in rats that normally drank little alcohol and decreased consumption in those that drank more. Ethanol metabolism was unchanged in liver slices but in adipose tissue slices there was higher incorporation into fatty acids and into unsaponifiable fraction

  • Ethanol Metabolism in Rats with Experimental Liver Cirrhosis. I . Rate of Combustion of Labeled Ethanol and Rate of Decrease of Blood Ethanol Level

Iris Campos, Wanda Solodkowska et al.•ARTICLE•Quarterly Journal of Studies on…•1964

  • Ethanol Metabolism in Rats with Experimental Liver Cirrhosis. II . Fate of Carbon-l of Ethanol Incubated with Liver Slices
