The site of Tepecik-Ciftlik, which lies in the Cappadocian volcanic zone, has been known since I966. The site was discovered by LA. Todd. The archaeological material from the surface collection indicates that the site was occupied mainly during the Neolithic and the beginning of Chalcolithic period.
