Age differences in somatotypes of Garhwali males 17–60 years of age
Changes in somatotype with age were investigated in a cross-sectional sample of 400 Garhwali men from northwest India. The subjects, 17-60 years of age, were somatotyped with the Heath-Carter anthropometric protocol. The overall mean somatotype was 3.0-3.7-3.1. A one-way MANOVA indicated significant differences among the nine age groups. Pairwise comparisons using Hotelling's T2 showed significant differences between men up to 29 years and those …

Patterns of growth in 10 anthropometric measurements among the rural Manipuri children (N=425), aged 5 to 14 years, with poor socio-economic backgrounds are reported. The nutritional status of 301 rural Meitei children (5–11 years old, 163 boys and 138 girls) from low socioeconomic backgrounds was evaluated with the help of dietary survey, clinical signs of mineral and vitamin deficiencies, and selected anthropometric dimensions. Emergence of permanent teeth among the meiteis of Manipur, India
To estimate the time and sequence of emergence of the first 28 permanent teeth in rural Meiteis of Manipur, 440 children 5–14 years of age were examined. Median tooth emergence times were earlier in females than males. The first molar was highly variable in its emergence time in both sexes.
