Gonadal steroids regulate number of astrocytes immunostained for glial fibrillary acidic protein in mouse hippocampus
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of sex and sex steroids on the distribution of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) -containing astrocytes in the hippocampal CA1 region of normal, testicular feminized (Tfm/Y) and hypogonadal (hpg) mice. The number of GFAP-immunoreactive (GFAP-IR) cells, assessed by immunohistochemistry, was significantly higher in Tfm/Y and hpg mice than in normal mice. There was no significant sex difference …

Social Class, Race and Junior High School Students' Belief in Personal Control
The relationships between internal-external control and social class and race were studied for two groups of junior high school students. Significant differences were found on internal-external control between schools but not for social class or race. Economic and cultural differences between schools were examined
Group Risk Taking and Internal-External Control of Group Members
Group risk taking was investigated as a function of the internal-external control level of group members. Using an experimental paradigm of Kogan and Wallach, it was predicted that groups composed of external Ss would manifest a greater risky shift and would reach group consensus in significantly less time than groups of internal Ss.
