Few teachers would deny that pronunciation is an important component of a learner's ability in English. However, many teachers lack background knowledge in the subject, and are unsure of how to teach it in the classroom. This carefully selected collection of published articles provides an authoritative account of the theory and practice of pronunciation, discussing both what should be taught as well as how it should be taught.
