Research Article| October 01 2019 A Eulogy for Roxsana Hernández: Tracing the Relationship between Border Rhetoric and Queer Debility Antonio Tomas De La Garza Antonio Tomas De La Garza Antonio Tomas De La Garza, PhD, is an assistant professor of rhetoric at California State University, San Marcos. His research focuses on how discourse reifies and/or resists white supremacist power relations. His current work explores how the U.S.—Mexico borderlands anchors discursively produced violence against queer and trans immigrants. He is a member of the National Latino Research Center, the University Without Borders, and provides training on resilience and support for undocumented and mixed status students.
