Persistência Da Leishmaniose Tegumentar Americana No Brasil
Análise De Tendências Temporais E Padrões Espaciais
Datos Bibliográficos
To analyze the spatial and temporal dynamics and factors associated with American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (ACL) in Brazil. This ecological study analyzed ACL cases recorded by the Brazilian Notifiable Diseases Information System. Temporal analysis was performed using the Joinpoint method. Cluster identification employed spatial autocorrelation, spatial scan statistics, and the Gets Ord Gi* method. Classical and spatial regression models were used to identify factors associated with the disease. ACL showed a decreasing trend (Annual Percentage Change (APC): -4.6%; 95% CI: -6.8 - -2.3; p=0.002) and an incidence of 9.76 cases per 100,000 population. Cluster detection techniques indicate spatial clusters in the North, Central-West, and Northeast regions. The Social Vulnerability Index (β=31.25) and Gini Index (β=123.79) were positively associated with the outcome. There was a decrease in the incidence of ATL in Brazil, with clusters of the disease concentrated in the North region
