Earlier, in government, she was Director for Russian Affairs on the National Security Council Staff and oversaw CIA analysis of Russian foreign and security policy. Mrs. Beebe's book, Cases in Intelligence Analysis: Structured Analytic Techniques in Action, was published by CQ Press in 2012. She holds a B.A. and M.A. from Boston University in International Relations and Russian studies. She is a Senior Fellow and Affiliate Faculty Member at the George Mason University Law School Center for Critical Infrastructure Protection, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland University College. George S. Beebe George S. Beebe is Deputy Director at the Center for Intelligence Research and Analysis, Washington, D.C., where he oversees research and analysis programs on Russia/Eurasia, South Asia, and the Middle East. During more than two decades in government service, Mr. Beebe served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency's Russian analysis section and Director of Analysis of the Agency's open-source analytic group. From 2002–2004, he was Special Advisor to Vice President Richard B. Cheney for Russia/Eurasia and Intelligence Programs. A graduate of Principia College with a B.A. in Political Science, he earned his M.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia
