Pierre Bersuire’s De formis figurisque deorum was translated into French around 1480 in order to appear in the introduction of two illustrated Ovidian books published in Bruges: the later manuscript of the Ovide moralisé (Copenhagen, BR, ms. Thott 399) and the edition of Ovid’s Metamorphosis in French published by Colard Mansion in 1484.
