This dossier comes out of a recent attempt to launch, or consolidate, creative writing as a discipline within English Studies in French universities. It follows on from an earlier E-rea dossier, Letters to Swift, co-edited by Ruth Menzies and Jean Viviès in 2021. The project began with the creation of a new panel at the annual conference of the SAES (Société des Anglicistes de l’Enseignement Supérieur) in 2020.
