This work aims to explore knowledges and educational practices from the perspective of children, families and teachers in a primary school located in a community with priority care needs in Heredia (Costa Rica). Three 8-person discussion groups were held: one with children (between 7 and 10 years old), another with families (at the end all of them were mothers) and a third one with teachers. Through the content analysis technique, the results highlight the needs, problems and future proposals identified by school community around children’s well-being in the educational context, pointing out the need of promoting the family-school relationship as well as children participation. It is necessary to systematically incorporate the socio-affective dimension in the school process, with convergent lines between the different stakeholders
