Indigenous health can be considered from both a local and a global vantage point, with attention to topics including indigenous knowledge systems, indigenous health concepts, environmental dispossession, and patterns of indigenous health. Recent geographical research examines the concepts of decolonizing methodologies and environmental repossession, and the ways in which researchers may draw from such approaches to work with indigenous communities to improve community health.
