Aiolis could be considered in two parts: island and land, which could also be divided into southern and northern Aiolis. Island‐Aiolis consists of Lesbos, Nasos, and Tenedos. Southern Aiolis is, broadly speaking, between Smyrnean and Elaitic Gulfs, and Northern Aiolis is the offshore from Elaitic Gulf to Ilion.
