L'A. analyse deux publications recentes relatives aux dimensions psychosociales de la schizophrenie : Towards a sociology of schizophrenia : Humanistic reflections de Keith Doubt (1996) et Relocating madness : From the mental patient to the person de Peter Barham et Robert Hayward (1995). La premiere publication propose une approche theorique sur une comprehension humaine de la schizophrenie et la seconde a pour objectif de plonger les lecteurs dans le monde vecu des psychotiques en analysant leurs valeurs vitales ; ces deux contributions se completent en eclairant les deux aspects interdependants, medical et humain, du traitement de la psychose
