Del espacio disciplinario a una biopolítica de la intervención en violencia y muerte de mujeres

Social work, like the other social sciences, works under the same power matrix. In this perspective, we seek to analyze professional intervention, placing it in two directions: the mechanisms of disciplinary power and the techniques of management and governance of life. The analysis leads us to propose that its prestige focuses on the ability to convey the effects of biopolitical power, which together with the discipline constitute its object of knowing-power. The mechanism that will be used is the intervention, with a single purpose, that the overflowing phenomena return to their normal courses. In essence, intervene to regulate population phenomena. The article analyzes the phenomenon of violence and death against women; but it is particularly focused on professional intervention, considering that social work is introduced as security mechanisms, for the control and government of the phenomena that fall within its competence
