An abandoned contemporary Indian camp site in the central Canadian Rockies is analysed, using the activity area concept. The assumption is made that the structured distribution of features and artefacts reflect aspects of the former group's organization. Interpretations were tested by consulting one of the previous camp occupants. Millie's testimony proved that many of the 'common sense' interpretations made were incorrect
