This paper analyzes the ways in which members of popular and labor union movements build their memories about the mobilizations that took place in the city of Volta Redonda in the years of 1980 through 1990, by verifying representations of the city related to this work of memory. The research is made using the Oral History methodology, developed through interviews with members and other social players who participated in the movements
