Hugh Brody, who translated and collected the transcripts printed below, is the author of The People's Land, a study of Eskimo-White relations based on some five years' work. They were made in the spring of 1976, when the writer went with a Granada film crew to make a documentary about Eskimo life for its Disappearing World series.
