The Trace of Absence

Deconstruction, as defined in my article on Hamlet', is process that occurs in the attempt to supplement a signifier for absent signified: system deconstructs even as it is constructed. There is no absolute beginning or end, but rather a perpetual repetition of beginnings throughout textual system. Each move made doubles back upon itself and erases itself. When action appears to be going forward it is moving backward. The system deconstructs even as it is constructed
