A questão indígena no livro didático

Until the seventies, it was supposed that the Indians didn't have future, nor past; its irreversible assimilation was placed to the involve society, and its end before the capitalist progress in the border areas. Starting from the eighties the situation began to move. It is the subjects related with the indigenous populations they became objects of studies. Inside them the representations of the existent indigenous populations in the didactic books. In that way, our proposal is of verifying those representations in a specific text - All the History, of José Jobson Arruda and Nelson Piletti - adopted in the twenty one public schools of medium teaching of Maringá town, reaching a number of 14.212 students
