This is a study of the history of railway workers, black and white in the State of São Paulo, specifically in the cities of Rio Claro, São Carlos, Araraquara from 1930 to 1970.This research is devoted to a reading of how the railways of the early twentieth century, and connect regions and to bring workers from different races, rise and influence the mobility of this class in the economic, political, social and cultural compared to other categories.To realize this research were interviewed retirees Companhia Paulista in the tree cities mentioned
