Contextualizing Hegel's Phenomenology of the French Revolution and the Terror

Delimitant et critiquant la logique de l'argument developpe par Hegel dans la «Phenomenologie de l'esprit» comme explication philosophique des evenements historiques de la Revolution francaise, l'A. se propose de contextualiser et d'illustrer la conception hegelienne de la liberte et de la terreur, qui s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un idealisme sublime et d'une histoire conceptuelle de la modernite. Examinant les figures philosophiques de l'incarnation de l'esprit concret de la Revolution que sont Rousseau et Sieyes, l'A. critique l'argument hegelien qui denonce les origines ideologiques de la Revolution et de l'Assemblee nationale comme heritiers de la philosophie des Lumieres
