Among people of African descent living in WA, psychological distress was associated with disability or long-term illness, and stressful major life events. Emotional wellbeing was associated with marital status, disability or long-term illness, stressful major events and employment status. These findings provide support for tailored mental health initiatives for migrant communities in WA
