The following two articles, which we have been planning to publish for several months, assume a sad timeliness in view of last month's assassination of Amilcar Cabral, leader of the national liberation struggle against Portuguese rule in Guinea Bissao, As Charles McCollester's article makes clear, Cabral was a revolutionary thinker of enormous power and creativity, perhaps the greatest yet produced by the African continent.
