Aim This study investigates the trend in general obesity and abdominal obesity in US adults from 2001 to 2018. Methods We included 44,184 adults from the nine cycles of the continuous NHANES (2001–2002, 2003–2004, 2005–2006, 2007–2008, 2009–2010, 2011–2012, 2013–2014, 2015–2016, and 2017–2018).
