  • IoT-based wearable health monitoring device and its validation for potential critical and emergency applications

Open Access•Ju‐Yu Wu, Ju-Yu Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Frontiers in Public Health•2023

The COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill, posing unprecedented challenges for healthcare systems worldwide. The overwhelming number of patients infected with the virus placed an enormous burden on healthcare providers, who struggled to cope with the sheer volume of cases. Furthermore, the lack of effective treatments or vaccines means that quarantining has become a necessary measure to slow the spread of the virus. However, quarant…

  • Environmental Barriers and Functional Outcomes in Patients with Schizophrenia in Taiwan

    Open Access•Wei‐Chih Lien, Wei-chih Lien et al.•ARTICLE•International Journal of…•2021

Environmental factors are crucial determinants of disability in schizophrenic patients. Using data from the 2014-2018 Certification of Disability and Care Needs dataset, we identified 3882 adult patients (46.78% females; age, 51.01 ± 13.9 years) with schizophrenia. We found that patients with severe schizophrenia had lower capacity and performance than those with moderate schizophrenia. The chances of having an access barrier to environmental cha…

  • The Application of SfM Photogrammetry Software for Extracting Artifact Provenience from Palaeolithic Excavation Surfaces

    Fei Peng, C Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Field Archaeology•2017•Cited by: 4•References: 50

While photogrammetry has become popular in archaeology and heritage management as an effective, low-cost method for generating detailed three-dimensional models, it remains to be established that the accuracy of model-derived measurements is sufficient for analytical purposes. Based on an expedient, in-field model processing protocol, we report preliminary results concerning the accuracy of artifact provenience information derived from photogramm…

  • Baicalein, an active component of Scutellaria baicalensis, protects against lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury in rats

    Chen-Liang Tsai, Yu-Chieh Lin et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2014

  • Antrodia salmonea inhibits TNF-α-induced angiogenesis and atherogenesis in human endothelial cells through the down-regulation of NF-κB and up-regulation of Nrf2 signaling pathways

Open Access•Hsin-Ling Yang, Hebron C Chang et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2014

  • Inhibitory effects of Physalis angulata on tumor metastasis and angiogenesis

    Open Access•You-Cheng Hseu, Chi-Rei Wu et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Ethnopharmacology•2011
