  • A metaheuristic approach to compare different combined economic emission dispatch methods involving load shifting policy

Open Access•Srikant Misra, Pratap Kumar Panigrahi et al.•ARTICLE•Environment Development and…•2024

Distributed generators (DGs), which can be traditional fossil fuel generators or renewable energy sources (RES), must be appropriately planned in order to reduce a power network’s overall generating cost. Renewable energy sources (RES) should be prioritized because they provide a clean and sustainable energy supply and are abundant in nature. Demand side management (DSM) optimizes the scheduling of flexible loads to reduce peak demand and improve…

  • Uncertainty-based dynamic economic dispatch for diverse load and wind profiles using a novel hybrid algorithm

Open Access•Sourav Basak, Badal Dey et al.•ARTICLE•Environment Development and…•2023

  • Ethnic Differences in Distributions of GSTM1 and GSTT1 Homozygous "Null" Genotypes in India

    Bidyut Roy, P P Majumder et al.•ARTICLE•Human Biology•2001•Cited by: 1•References: 1

We estimated the frequencies of GSTM1 and GSTT1 "null" homozygotes in 10 different ethnic populations of India by a genotyping method based on polymerase chain reaction. These populations, inhabiting diverse geographical locations and occupying various positions in the sociocultural hierarchy, were represented by a sample of 299 unrelated individuals. Frequencies of GSTM1 and GSTT1 "null" homozygotes varied from 20% to 79% and 3% to 39%, respecti…

  • Genetic affinities between the migrant and parental populations of fishermen, East coast, India

Open Access•B Mohan Reddy, Virendra P Chopra et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Human Biology•1995

Genetic affinities between the migrant groups of fishermen from Puri and their parental counterparts in the Southern areas were examined using 11 genetic loci: four blood groups, five red cell enzymes, and two serum proteins. The samples for the parental populations (about 430 subjects) were drawn from 34 villages spread along the 400 km coast in Ganjam district of Orissa and the contiguous Srikakulam, Vishakhapatnam, and East Godavari districts …

  • Intestinal parasitic infestations in populations inhabiting similar and contrasting ecological zones

    Open Access•Sanat K Bhattacharya, B Mukhopadhyay et al.•ARTICLE•Human Ecology•1981
