The morpho-syntactic encoding of discourse-linked topics
In this paper, I will argue that some languages dispose over two kinds of expletives: a purely syntactic expletive and a ‘thetic expletive’ enumerated from the lexicon and triggering a thetic interpretation of the sentence.
