Bruno Roméo, Baptiste Fauvel et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Psychoactive Drugs•2023

Tobacco use disorder is a major public health concern. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of a psychedelic experience in a natural context on tobacco use. Demographic information was collected, and characteristics of the psychedelic experience, tobacco addiction and psychological flexibility were as…

  • News consumption in France

Sylvain Dejean, Marianne Lumeau et al.•ARTICLE•Réseaux•2021•Cited by: 2•References: 13

  • Digital Piracy under a Graduated Response Policy

Michael Arnold, Éric Darmon et al.•ARTICLE•Journal of Institutional and…•2019

Graduated response policies (e.g., three-strikes laws) are often adopted to deter repeated criminal activity. In 2009 France passed the Hadopi three-strikes law targeting digital piracy. We model the individual intertemporal decision to engage in illegal activity before and after receiving each strike and, contingent on this decision, the level of illegal content acquisition (piracy) within each stage. We find that monitoring efforts typically be…

  • The role of distance and social networks in the geography of crowdfunding

    Sylvain Dejean•ARTICLE•Regional Studies•2019•Cited by: 2•References: 3

This paper estimates the cost of distance in the geographical flow of crowdfunding, and shows how social ties between the 94 French metropolitan regions shape the geography of funding. This analysis draws upon a unique database provided by the French leader in rewards-based crowdfunding. The main result is that the elasticity of distance remains important (around 0.5), and that social ties between regions determine the flow of funding. Doubling t…

Éric Darmon, Sylvain Dejean et al.•ARTICLE•Revue économique•2016•Cited by: 2•References: 3
