  • Nejasna mjesta u Sibili Ane Katarine Zrinske

Open Access•István Lukács, István Endre Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2022

Ana Katarina Zrinska (rođ. Frankopan) značajna je spisateljica hrvatskog baroka. Njezini otkriveni pjesnički tekstovi koncem prošloga stoljeća pridonijeli su revalorizaciji čitavoga životnog djela. Obitelj Zrinski posjedovala je izuzetno lijepo ukrašen rukopisni primjerak gatalice ( Sibile ), na čijoj unutarnjoj strani nalazimo vlastoručne bilješke same Ane Katarine Zrinske kao vlasnice te nadalje jedan tajanstveni rebus. Prema mojoj interpretaci…

  • Tekstovna metamorfoza „Velikog akta“ u „Zastavama“ Miroslava Krleže

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2012

Miroslav Krleža’s work Flags is considered to be a key novel in the history of Croatian literature. The protagonist Kamill Emericzi falls in love with Anna Borongay, who is identified by Krleža’s researchers as Anna Lesznai, the famous poet, in spite of the writer’s protest against this idea. The present paper examines how Dezső Orbán’s painting, which was definitely modelled on Anna Lesznai and returned to Hungary from Australia in 2011, could h…

  • King Matthias Corvinus in the Collective Memory of the Slovenian Nation

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2010

The author’s monograph published in Hungarian in 2001 was the first attempt to give an overview of the theme of King Matthias Corvinus in Slovenian folk tradition and literature. This study provides some further details on this subject, suggesting a new interpretation of traditional folk texts about King Matthias Corvinus as texts of collective memory, collective narrative and collective identity. The myth of King Matthias Corvinus as a saviour s…

  • Siromašan pesnik siromaha

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2007

    A. B. Šimić (1898–1925) was the most outstanding representative of the Croat expressionistic poetry, creator of the Croat verse libre. At the beginning of the twenties, similarly to a lot of Central-Eastern-European poets (Attila József, Srečko Kosovel), Šimić proved to be sensitive of social aspects and wrote a cycle of poems under the title Siromasi (Poor people). The task of the paper is to find out to what extent these poems comform to and to…

  • Zu den Anfängen der kroatischen visualen Dichtung

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2004

A Pauline monk Ladislaus Simandi (Simándy) (1655-1715), who was Croat by origin, wrote the first significant piece of art of Croatian visual poetry “Corvi albi eremitici nova musa inconcinna”, devoted to the life of Thebaic Saint Paul. The book is a sort of school textbook, where we can find the simplest anagramma and acrostic, a bit more complicated cubus, hologramma and mezostic, as well as the most complicated circle, wheel, clock, star, wreat…

  • Poetična funkcija srednjoistočno europskih parodija i travestija u 19. stoljeću

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2003

The birth of the 19th century literary parodies and travesties falls on the moment of transition from the romanticism to the realism. In the present paper I deal with the problem, whether Hungarian Sándor Petőfi, Slovenian Simon Jenko and Croatian Ante Kovačić's works have served the conservation of the already existing literary canons and poetic discourses or, on the contrary, became examples of a central evolutionary genre, which have put an en…

  • Der kajkavische planctus aus Siebenbürgen 1626

    István Lukács•ARTICLE•Studia Slavica Academiae…•2001

Since criticism has only known about the existence of Čakavian texts from the seaside area before the 17th century, the Kajkavian dramatised planctus written in 1626 that was found in 1997 in Csíksomlyó/Şumuleu, Romania counts as a text of unique value in old Croatian literature. In this essay, we will place our Kajkavian planctus among related Croatian texts and also compare it with the so-called Picić-text which it stands closest to in detail. …
