Père Marie-Benoît and Jewish Rescue. How a French Priest Together with Jewish Friends Saved Thousands during the Holocaust
This book relates the remarkable story of how a Capuchin priest, born in 1895, did all he could to rescue Jews from arrests, round-ups and deportation in occupied France and Italy during the Second World War. Susan Zuccotti, well known for several established works on the Holocaust, met Père Marie-Benoît in 1988 in his Parisian monastery in order to interview him. He was aged 93.
