Memnon and Nestor Petrovsky’s book collection in the 1920s and 1930s
Memnon and Nestor Petrovsky’s Library was created in Kazan in the second half of the nineteenth –early twentieth century. In the 1920s, it was transported to Moscow, then, in the 1930s, – to Leningrad. From 1931 to 1934, when the Institute of Slavic Studies functioned in the building of the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a part of Petrovskys’ Library was stored there.
