Residence and orientations toward solitude
In this study, the authors examined leisure activities and desire for solitude in relation to the population density of residential location. Leisure activities of adults in urban, small‐town, and rural areas were analyzed. Findings indicate that residents of areas varying in population density do not exhibit significantly different patterns in the breadth and intensity of their leisure involvement. Agroecological and policy influences on no‐till adoption
This paper examines the adoption of a conservation practice among Illinois farmers from the perspective of the importance of agroecological and conservation policy influences. Farmers in one agricultural region adopted the conservation practice of no‐till agriculture earlier and to a greater extent than those in another.
