    Ayak bileği yedi kemikten oluşur ve tarsal kemikler olarak adlandırılır. Bilek kısmında yer alan ayak topuğuna calcaneus denir. Topuk kemiği, vücut yükünden gelen ağırlığın büyük bir kısmını taşıyan ayak bileğinin en büyük ve sağlam kemiğidir(1). Topuk kemiğinin üst yüzeyinde (superior) üç ayrı eklem yüzeyi görülür.
