This report outlines the results of excavations carried out on the Stanwick earthworks in four different areas between 1981–86. At Forcett, area investigation recovered more of the structural plan of the north-western entrance investigated by Wheeler in 1951. Following Wheeler's excavations there in 1951–52, the earthwork complex at Stanwick, North Yorkshire, has been regarded as a key site for the late Iron Age in northern England.
