Coaliciones interétnicas, framing y estrategias de movilización contra centrales hidroeléctricas en Chile
A partir del analisis longitudinal de dos casos, se analiza el activismo etnico en coaliciones contenciosas contra la construccion de centrales hidroelectricas en Chile. Nos preguntamos sobre el rendimiento de las coaliciones interetnicas y de las condiciones que lo hacen posible. Socio-Territorial Conflicts in Chile
Within a context of intensifying socio-territorial conflicts in several countries, this paper analyses a database of 101 conflicts occurring in Chile between 2005 and 2014. These conflicts emerged from specific territorial problems, were scattered throughout the country, and did not involve urban centres. The evidence examined here shows significant contentious activity in non-metropolitan territories during this period. These conflicts occur in …

This article examines the formation of Admapu - an organisation representing a broad sector of Mapuche society that resisted the actions of the Chilean dictatorship during the 1980s. In political memory, the period of agrarian reform marks a time of hope and strong participation, but here we show how an autonomy project developed within Admapu conflicted with those making political alliances with the Chilean Left.
