  • Revisiting the two-factor model of ethnic–racial and U.S. identity exploration among Hispanic college students

Alan Meca, Bethany Cruz et al.•ARTICLE•Cultural Diversity & Ethnic…•2026

OBJECTIVE: Establishing a positive ethnic-racial identity (ERI) and U.S. identity (USI) is an important cultural asset capable of promoting positive adjustment. Although exploration has been identified as the fundamental process underlying ERI and USI development, existing research has largely utilized a unidimensional conceptualization. The present study sought to replicate Syed et al.'s (2013) findings, which differentiated between two forms of…

This paper examines the effects of high school curriculum reforms on infant health by exploiting sharp and staggered changes across states in core course requirements for graduation. Our results suggest that curriculum reforms significantly reduced the incidence of low birthweight and prematurity for black mothers. For white mothers, the estimated effects are small and generally insignificant. We also explore the mechanisms for observed effects a…

  • Hypothetical acceptability of minimally invasive tissue sampling and considerations for practice

Open Access•Nhung Doan Phuong, Ngan Ta Thi Dieu et al.•ARTICLE•Global Public Health•2024

The exact aetiology of the cause of death (COD) remains unknown for a high proportion of deaths caused by infectious diseases. Complete diagnostic autopsy (CDA) is considered the gold standard to determine COD, but it is often not used in low and middle-income countries (LMIC), including Vietnam, for a variety of reasons. One alternative is minimally invasive tissue sampling (MITS). This study was part of a larger project to explore the perceptio…

April M Falconi, Leah Ramirez et al.•ARTICLE•American Journal of Public Health•2024•Citada por: 1•Referencias: 16

Objectives. To assess the relationship between doula utilization and health outcomes of females enrolled in Medicaid-affiliated plans in the United States. Methods. In this retrospective, observational cohort study, we used Medicaid claims data from a national health insurer to compare health outcomes between females who used and who did not use a doula (2014–2023). We conducted propensity score matching using a 1:1 case‒control match, without re…

Methods: Following guidelines for scoping reviews as outlined by Arksey and O'Malley (2005) and further refined by Levac et. al (2010) we conducted searches of several databases and two additional searches to capture regions of focus and more current literature. We …
