  • Religious Pluralism

    Open Access•Joyce Ann Konigsburg•ARTICLE•Religions•2023•Cited by: 1•References: 1

For more than half a century, the Catholic Church has deliberated the effects of religious pluralism on its evangelizing mission and rapport in the contemporary world. The possibility of engaging with ultimacy requires establishing some necessary conditions. Any attempt to compel an experience results in false spiritual encounters rather than permitting authentic ones to occur. Therefore, a balance is necessary between being open to the possibility of a religious experience and seeking, but not…

  • The Economic and Ethical Implications of Living Wages

    Open Access•Joyce Ann Konigsburg, Joyce Konigsburg•ARTICLE•Religions•2017•Cited by: 1•References: 7

Although rhetoric about wages and jobs often emphasizes the effects of globalization, questions remain as to whether United States workers are paid adequately to sustain a reasonable standard of living. One solution is to implement a living wage, which is accurate and specific to a local economy but more computationally complex than a one-size-fits-all minimum wage. When considered economically, a living wage has the potential to increase busines…
